Happy Holidays Members and Friends!

I have a few news to share with you all. First thing that I would like to share with you all is that Richard "Corky" Corcoran has passed away December 4, 2009. He was 77 years young. Corky was our President for 14 years. He was a great leader for us and as well as other organizations such as Capital District Civic Association of the Deaf and Empire State Association of the Deaf. His leadership will be missed!

We will not have any social event until March 27, 2010. Please check out our social events dates for 2010 and mark your calendars!

For some of you that may not realized that the bowling league has moved to Sundays starting at 5:30 pm. If you are interested in joining the league, please contact Ricky Vooris at Vooris95@aol.com.

2009 has been a big year for us. Starting with the 70th Anniversary Banquet last April. Over 100 people attended and also we had Keith Wann performing that evening. Then the following week we had Eastern Association of Deaf Bowling Tournament. The tournament was a sucess eventhough the bowling world are dwindling every year. Guess Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament is a fast growing sport!

Please check out the workshop that we will be providing this coming March 27, 2010... "Financial Planning Workshop". Everyone is welcome as it is a free workshop!

We will have BINGO starting some time in 2010. We will let you all know when it will begin. If you have any suggestion for any new games/workshops let us know!

As most of you all know that Thomas O'Hea has moved to South Carolina. He has been ASC member for more than 30 years. His devotion and loyality to this club will be missed. We wish him the best of luck in South Carolina!

Stay Warm,

Jam O'Hea, President
